Omega-3 for the US army?
The health benefits associated with omega-3 fatty acids have been widely acknowledged throughout the industry and it seems as if they’ve popped up on the US army’s radar…
The US Department of Defense (DOC) may soon be ordering its troops to take omega-3 fatty acids in order to enhance stress resilience and general wellness leading to improved military performance to cut hospital bills and to speed recovery from traumatic brain injuries (TBI).
Although the possibility of introducing omega-3 to active service personnel is still at a discussion stage, it’s a step in the right direction which means healthier troops and a reduced demand on the health system. Here's more info about the US army considering omega-3 fatty acids.
It's a pity that they won't be getting the additional benefits from our Omega 3 / DHA Fish Oil as we couldn't even try to meet the army's requirements due to our policy of seafood sustainability and tightly controlled supply systems.
