Wikileaks comes to New Zealand

Some Embassy cables have been released outlining pressure being put on the NZ government indirectly by the large pharmaceutical firms, because they believed NZ was hostile towards them.  Apparently efforts were made to 'unseat' the then Health Minister Helen Clark as well as putting pressure on the US authorities to oppose the free trade agreement with the NZ.

It will be interesting to see what gets released over the coming weeks. If you are interested in this subject then you can follow it through NZ Herald News. The first article in this area is "WikiLeaks: Drug firms tried to ditch Clark".
